Sadie is now taking applications for her forever home.

Hi everyone I'm Sadie. For 10 years I lived with my mom in my house, but things changed and she couldn't take very good care of me anymore. She loved me enough to let me go to MoKan border collie rescue where I have the most fabulous temporary family. They've discovered that I'm adorable (we knew that, of course), I'm affectionate, silly, and playful. I walk pretty well on a leash and I know my basic commands. I do pretty well on car rides, too. When I have to go potty, I walk over to the door and mumble. Foster mom says it's so cute and she thinks I'm talking to the door. (Silly foster mom).

My most favorite thing to do is play soccer. Watch my video below. I'm quick and agile, the best goal keeper in town!

I like people a lot, especially when they let me sit on the couch with them. I love couches a lot, too. I really like food and toys. You see, when I came in to rescue I hadn't been able to get enough food for quite awhile, so I'm having to gain some weight. I've been really hungry! So hungry that I don't want any other dog around my food, or my treats, or even my empty food bowl. I'm serious about that, too! I didn't really have toys, either, so I don't want other dogs near toys. We're working on that, but for now, my new family must understand that I really, really like other dogs, but we can't share food or toys.

I like to snuggle and sleep with my foster brother. I have my own crate where I stay when foster mom is at work, and at night. They tell me every day how smart I am. (We already knew that, too). In my prior home I lived with kids and did great with them. I've lived with cats, too, and am good with them as long as they don't want my food!

My ideal home would be one where I can get lots and lots of attention and some daily exercise. I'd be really good as an only dog, or with another dog as long as we ALL understand about my food and toys.

I'm being fostered in the Kansas City area and would LOVE to start reading your applications for me. (Yes, I talk to doors and I can read).
