Hello, my name is Shadow.

I have been having so much fun.  My foster brother (a 2 1/2 year old boy dog) and I play--a lot.  My foster dad thinks that I’d be better in a home with boy dogs than with girl dogs.

I’ve learned so much, too.  I know sit.  I know down.  I know wait when we are going outside or he is setting my food down.  I have a pretty good recall except when he has a treat in his hand.  Then it’s perfect.  He says I make a great foot warmer at night.  I was a little chubby when I got here, and have been working on losing a few pounds.  I LOVE people.  I get kind of exciting when he comes home and will stand on my back legs and paw the air until he pets me.  I do that sometimes too, when I need to go out and go potty.  I had one little accident the first day I was here because I was a little excited. Nothing since then. 

I respond really well to positive reinforcement and treats.  I need a home where I will continue to get training.  I want to please.  I also need a fenced in yard because I am still really curious about things and might wander unless you have a treat in your hand. 

One more thing.  My foster dad says that I give the sweetest, gentlest little kisses.
