Hi, I am Taylor, a 2 yr old smooth coat Border Collie. I was found as a stray, very scared, and afraid with possible physical injury. I came into the safe arms of MoKan BC rescue, where I have received expert veterinary care and treatment. I did not have any physical injuries, whew! Neurology did determine I was having subtle focal type seizures that are controlled with medication. I have a loving caring foster mom, and foster brother, that have helped me slowly come out of my shell, learning how to be a gentle spirited family member. I learn at a slower pace than some border collies, I like to have a very gentle hand and soft encouragement from my people. With patience, I have learned to walk short distances on a leash, but I really prefer romping in the backyard with my foster brother who is very gentle with me. I would like to have a calm dog sibling in my new home to show me the ropes! My foster mom says I have made so much progress, have so much more to learn, and something called “potential” whatever that is. She says I am one of the most calm, gentle border collies she has ever seen! I like snuggles and pets, but I really LOVE the comfort of my kennel, my favorite place to hang out! I can show some herding tendencies, prefer quiet over chaos, so would like a home without kids. I have been on medication for the seizures and feel SO much better, and am seizure free. I will need the medication for life to keep me healthy! I am house trained and crate trained, ready to find my forever home!
