Looking for an adventure buddy?? Pom Pom is standing by and ready for action! This little firecracker found her way into rescue via a heartbreaking start to life but you’d never know it by her silly personality and affectionate demeanor. This girl wakes up with a spring in her step and with a sense of curiosity to learn new things every day. That, plus her impressive athleticism, would lend perfectly to agility competition and other sporting activities. She loves fetch, frisbee, playing tug, and it’s rare she doesn’t have a toy either in her mouth or within reach.

She listens well and is eager to please but still has a long way to go to conquer some manners and a variety of commands. She picks up on routines quickly, and trained herself to be let outside by ringing the hanging door bells within a couple of days. She’s friendly with dogs of all sizes and loves playful bouts with a playful buddy. She’s equally friendly with kitty but will likely chase if kitty runs, but will never nip.

Pom Pom will need an owner familiar with the border collie breed and willing to put in the time to both mentally and physically stimulate her every day. She’s a bit on the smaller side, weighing in at 38lbs, but her fearless nature will make you think you’ve been hit by truck when she runs full speed into you. She loves with gusto! She does have a strong herding tendency but doesn’t nip.

Be prepared to have a velcro dog on your heels nearly every minute. If you’re cooking dinner she’ll be square between your feet. If you pop into the garage she’ll be waiting at the door when you return. If you walk out to check the mail she’ll be eyeing you from the nearest window. A fenced yard isn’t necessary because she doesn’t stray far, and even less so when there’s another furry friend around to play with. She will love her human very much and is ready to be the new best friend to an active owner.

Pom Pom is up to date on her vaccines and is spayed and ready to find her permanent home. It is recommended her home not have young children under 8 years old.
