Meet Jet, a 1-2 yr old, beautiful black and white, medium coat, male BC. Jet was an owner surrender, coming into rescue, as his previous owner didn’t have the time for him that he needed.

Jet has settled into his foster home, coming out of his shell, learning about being a part of a family, and life is good!! He is friendly with all dogs he has met, including his often bossy foster sisters. They are attempting to initiate play, he is just not quite ready yet. He has started playing with toys, helping himself to the toy basket. He loves the Benebones! His favorite place to hang out is on his large dog bed for a good nap. He has not shown much interest in balls or frisbees.

Jet LOVES all humans and prefers to follow his foster mom around keeping a close eye on everything. He has the most beautiful, soft, soulful brown eyes! He walks well on a leash, using a harness, and is always on alert to find squirrels. He ignores other dogs and loves to meet children. He also is a great running partner! He knows “sit, down, look”, and has great recall. He is VERY food motivated and loves to learn. Jet is a very soft and sensitive boy that needs confidence building games and exercises with slow training. He will shut down if he is uncertain what is expected.

Jet is medium energy, will need daily exercise, walks, runs, and or hiking to keep him happy. He would be up for any outdoor adventure with his person.  On our first trip to Lowes, he was excellent, loved everyone he met, walking easily through the store, and sitting for cookies! He will need a family that is willing to continue his training with positive reinforcement only.

He is chilled and laid back and LOVES to cuddle and snuggle with his humans. He will crawl in hour lap for any affection he can solicit! He is starting to give kisses in exchange for pets. He would probably be a dog you can take to outdoor events or relaxing on a patio for lunch. He rides well in the car.

Jet is crate trained, and house trained, ready to go to his forever home. He has not been cat tested, but chased a chicken in his previous home. Does this amazing, beautiful, smart boy sound like the dog for your family? Complete an adoption application to have the opportunity to meet Jet!
