*Hi there!* My name is Rusty, and I'm a 4-month-old Border Collie on the lookout for my forever home! A little fun fact about me—I’m an Aries, so you know I’ve got that fiery energy! My foster family says I’m super social, curious, and just a little bit cheeky. I’ve got lots of energy to burn, so I love playing fetch and going for walks. I’m a confident pup, but I’m still getting used to some of the loud noises in the city—though I’m getting braver every day! I’d love to have an older brother or sister to play with, and I really need a family who can help train me and keep my clever mind busy. I’m told I’m already pretty smart, but there’s always room to learn more! Here’s a little more about me: - I know basic commands like sit, down, and sometimes even shake! - I’m eager to please, which makes me an open book for learning new things. - I’m potty-trained and let my foster family know when I need to go outside. - I’m great with car rides and do well with adults and kids—mostly I’m just curious about everyone! - I love playing fetch and having a yard to run around in. Oh boy do I LOVE sticks! I’m still working on a few things like crate training, learning more advanced commands, and walking nicely on a leash without pulling. But I’m super eager to learn, and I know I’ll get the hang of it with the right family by my side. I can’t wait to find my forever family and bring lots of love, laughter, and tail wags into their lives! Could that be you? Rusty’s foster mom adds this about him: “He treated our fire wood pile as a shopping mall. We burned through it on Saturday night. When he went out on Sunday and there wasn't a pile he seemed sad, so I made him another. We started calling it Rusty's Stick Library”. Rusty is up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped and on monthly heartworm, flea and tick preventatives. Rusty is being fostered in the St. Louis, Mo area.
