Courtesy Post. Please use the link below to apply for Maggie. Five month old Maggie is a border collie mix who is really the whole package. This playful girl loves playing fetch with toys and gets along well with all other dogs she’s encountered. Foster mom says she adjusts her play style to that of the other dog so gets along with everyone. She’s even respectful to cats. Maggie is so smart! She already knows basic commands, like sit, down, outside, and fetch. Maggie is house trained and learned quickly how to go out through a doggie door. Although she thinks bedtime comes way too soon, she does sleep soundly and quietly in her crate at night. Maggie adores all people (except maybe the UPS delivery driver when he doesn’t bring her new toys), and especially loves to snuggle and give kisses to foster mom’s grandkids. She hasn’t met a stranger but does need a little work to learn it’s not OK to jump up on people to welcome them. She walks well on a leash and enjoys her outings. She would like to go on more outings to keep up her social skills. She does need a physical fence to keep her safe in the yard so she doesn’t get distracted by squirrels and bunnies. Maggie is up-to-date on all of her vaccinations and will be getting spayed prior to her adoption. Oh, she even loves her veterinarian! She is really the best girl.
