Snuggle-Monster Sue, reporting for duty! Sue is an absolute love-bug. She greets every person with a wagging tail and lots of kisses, and her happy place is directly in your lap. Turning 6 years old this summer, Sue has spent her life building quite the little resume as a farm dog chasing chickens and helping her owner herd cattle in the evening. Her owner very unfortunately recently passed away, and she misses him dearly, but she still has a lot of love to give to another very special human. You'd never guess that Sue is nearly 6 years old when you meet her. She would chase a frisbee all day if you let her, and will no doubt bring a ball to your lap when you're watching tv. Be sure to check out her video...count 'em people, that's TWO 360 turns for a mid-air frisbee! As you can imagine, Sue will need an environment that embraces her level of activity by way of a fenced yard and active family with an owner who loves to toss a frisbee. She was primarily an outdoor dog with her previous owner, but has adjusted amazingly well to 'civilian' life. She's crate-training fast and will lay right down after a minute or two, and it's never a struggle to get her into her crate. She sits on command and does so automatically when she knows it's time to leash up! She doesn't pull on her leash, rides great in cars, and might check out a countertop on occasion but will get down when instructed. She'll also let you play the bongos on her belly if you ask really nicely. Sue currently lives with her foster brother Archer, another border collie. Admittedly, Sue didn't have a companion to play with previously so it's still a bit new to her, but she's genuinely interested in socializing. She'll initiate playtime by way of gently pawing at Archer, but the wrestling stays pretty minimal so she wouldn't do well with a hyper dog in the household. She has not been tested in a home with cats. Sue is the definition of a loyal dog and rarely leaves the room you are in, even going so far as to sit outside the glass shower door for guard duty. She does have tendencies to want to be the #1 gal in your lap, so on occasion she'll show dominance when Archer comes for pets. Even in their first week together this has greatly reduced, and I expect she'd adjust well to a future brother/sister given the time and patience. But if Sue is adopted as a solo companion, she'd make such a great little addition. She loves being near her human and giving kisses and getting belly rubs, and her favorite place to sleep is across your chest. Sue is registered and has up to date shot records. This spunky little girl has so much love to give and is ready for her forever home! Sue is being fostered in the KC/KS area. More about SueGood with Dogs
