Ava is a 3-4 month old female Border Collie who was found as a stray on the side of the road. A kind veterinarian picked her up, treated her for parasites and contacted MOKAN to find her a good home! Ava has only been with us about a week but she is a wonderful puppy. She is a smart, happy girl who loves a good snuggle and to give kisses. She also enjoys all toys and is very food motivated. She would like to play with other dogs if they are interested. She watches the cats and horses but doesn't really bother them. She sleeps through the night, is doing very well on crate and housetraining and was very well behaved in her kennel at the agility trial and at a busy vet clinic. She also really enjoyed watching the other dogs doing agility. She is very agile and likes to climb and explore and quickly learned how to navigate bleachers and jump on the couch. She is also very good at using her nose and finds all kinds of things she would like to eat-although some she really shouldn't! Overall she is a medium energy border collie (so far). She likes to play and sometimes gets pretty wild but will also play quietly by herself and hang out in the yard looking at stuff and watching other animals. She should be a great active pet or possible sports dog and also has therapy dog potential once she learns some manners! Ava will be spay before adoption. A fenced yard preferred.
