Charlie is a small (around 30 pounds) 2-year-old male border collie mix. He is a very gentle soul who does well with people of all ages and other animals including friendly dogs, cats, and even the neighborhood frogs! Charlie has a moderate energy level and would like an active family who can help him exercise every day. He can escape a standard 4.5-foot chain link fence, but has only done so to see another dog. We recommend a 6-foot fence or daily walks and interactive play as a form of exercise.

He loves to play fetch, and would make a very good candidate for the dog sport of your choosing! Charlie walks very well on a leash and is learning basic commands. He is an intelligent dog and responds very well to positive reinforcement as a method of learning.

Charlie is house-trained, and we have had no issues with inappropriate chewing when leaving him in the house unsupervised. He will also kennel on command, although he may whine or bark when first crated. He quiets quickly, however, and stays quiet all throughout the night.

He is a very affectionate dog who loves to be with his people and with his doggy foster sister. He is very eager to please, learns quickly, and has shown no signs of food or toy aggression.
