Sprinter is a 2-3 year old female who was found as a stray and taken in by some good Samaritans who spent a lot of time working with her and getting her healthy before contacting rescue. Sprinter is a very sweet girl who loves cuddles and people and is always wiggling! She is crate trained, mostly housebroken and is very food motivated. She is learning to play with toys. Sprinter is good with cats. She is ok with other dogs as long as they are not overly forward until she gets used to them. She’s not aggressive, just insecure and can be defensive if she feels threatened. She is currently in a foster home with several other dogs so is rapidly getting used to being in a large group of dogs! Sprinter has some herding instinct, a medium energy level, is good on a leash and does not bark much. She would be a great companion, hiking or walking buddy or a good nose work dog. She weighs about 40 lbs and has a smooth coat. She rides well in a car and is good to stick with you even off leash-although she is pretty interested in livestock she will still come when called. Without the distraction of stock she’s great to stay right with you. Sprinter’s biggest issue is just lack of confidence. She loves people but can be a bit shy at first. She is also getting used to things like slick floors but she is a fast learner and with someone working with her should blossom into a great dog. Sprinter is new to rescue so we will update as we learn more. Sprinter is being fostered in the Springfield area. More about SprinterGood with Cats, Leashtrained, Cratetrained, Affectionate
