World-class Snuggle Monster seeks patient home!! As her foster momma I can directly say that this sweet girl has been absolute gem to watch blossom, she is such a great little dog and will make a perfect low-key companion. Sweet little Annie came to Mokan by way of a very bad situation, but those painful days are far behind her now. Annie is a 1-year old BC mix (likely Aussie) with gorgeous markings and a beautiful personality to match. She's a petite little girl weighing just under 30lbs, and while she has a few to gain she'll be staying on the small side of the breed. She can be painfully shy to new people but once this girl opens up, watch out, she'll never let you leave her sight! Kitchen? Check. Closet? Check. Couch cuddles? CHECK! She's an inherently loyal dog and prefers being cuddled on the couch together over frisbee tosses in the yard. Annie has steadily learned how to 'dog' by way of her foster brother, and her permanent home could either be as a solo companion or with low-energy siblings. She actually does quite well with other animals, as she came from a background with several siblings. She has never shown food or toy aggression and handles her vet shots and surgery like a champ. A shy champ, yes, but still never nips or growls once. She's proven herself to be trainable and has picked up several commands but her absolute favorite place to be is on the couch. Other favorite things include: having her belly used as bongo drums, stealing your spot as soon as you stand up, giving nose boops to her foster brother, finding increasingly silly ways to fall asleep, and sitting like a 'lady' with perfectly crossed paws. Not so favorites are: loud noises, being left alone, and meeting new people. Annie's new home will need to keep working with her to help conquer her anxiety...she's made large strides while in foster but she will need a supportive family to continue her progress. Patience will be key, especially in the first couple of weeks at home, but oh my goodness when her little tail starts to wag it definitely makes it all worth it. Although a low-energy dog she still has an adorably playful little side which will only enhance as she adjusts to her new environment. Ideally this sweet little gal will be placed in a lower-energy household without kids, with a canine companion or two, and a fenced yard to romp around, perhaps even a stay at home or retired parent to spend her days with. Annie is up to date on her shots and is housebroken. Annie is currently being fostered in the Kansas City area.
