Fuzz is a beautiful 5 year old border collie who loves other dogs, running in the yard and hanging out with his people.  He has come a long ways since arriving at his foster home 3 months ago.  He didn’t have the best early life, arriving severely malnourished, scared and lacking confidence.  His response to anything unfamiliar was to hide.  But thanks to the patience and support of his foster parents, and the 4 dogs in his foster home, he has built a strong bond with his foster mom.  He is slowly but surely coming to trust his foster dad. He has gained weight and confidence in his foster home.

Fuzz acts like a typical Border Collie in his large yard. He makes big circles around the other dogs and loves to run with them.  He has some quirky neurotic endearing little habits that make you laugh. He walks nicely on leash and loves car rides.  He recently  spent time at the dog park where he ran around, never getting too far from his “ pack” .  He avoided other people there but occasionally sniffed another dog.  He has shown no aggression whatsoever.  Fuzz has good recall to his foster mom. 

Fuzz almost didn’t make it to the adoptable dog status with us, as his foster mom has grown to love him so much and didn’t know if she could let him go.  But he is strong and happy now, ready for his forever home.  He has come such a long way and is such a loving and loyal buddy.  We are looking for someone who will bond with him as much as foster mom, and give him a chance.  He will not disappoint you. 

Fuzz absolutely needs another dog in his home.  He thrives with a companion.  A fenced in yard is required though he will likely be a dog who can eventually do leash free trails.

Fuzz is crate trained, house trained, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, neutered and on monthly preventatives for heartworms, fleas and ticks.  If you’re interested in Fuzz, please fill out an application.
