Lucy loves you already - and you've only just met through a photo! This medium-size bundle of joy is a super outgoing and lovable gal. She enjoys meeting new people on her neighborhood walks, and always receives compliments for her beautiful long coat. In between walks, Lucy can be caught hanging in the foyer, ready to go out again! Lucy is eager to please and is highly food motivated. She has completed a 6-week beginning obedience course and is currently enrolled in an advanced obedience class. In exchange for a treat, she will sit, down, stay, come, leave it/take it, nose touch and spin! She is working very hard on mastering her polite greeting, but she loves people so much that this one is hard for her! She knows her name and responds when called. Lucy is also crate-trained and potty-trained. Overall, she enjoys learning new things, earning treats, and making her humans proud. She has received her Canine Good Citizen and Novice Trick Dog titles!! Lucy is friendly with all ages, but her exuberance could be a little overwhelming for a younger/smaller child. She loves other dogs, but keep in mind that dogs in the home should match her play style. This wonderful Australian-Retriever mix is extremely loyal, and really embodies the best of both breeds (she is 60% Aussie, 30% Golden and 10% Collie/German Shepherd). Lucy is full of energy, some of which will mellow out as she ages, but she will need to be in an active home. She easily wears herself out at the dog park, and visiting with new furry friends is always the highlight of her day. She likes to unwind at the end of the day by chewing on a bone, and then goes to bed with dinner in her crate. Lucy is longing for an active, cat-free home with a patient owner. If you can give her that, she will be a loyal, rewarding companion for life. Lucy is being fostered in the Kansas City area.
