Katie is an active 10 year young 50 pound Border Collie who is nearly perfect.  She will need daily medications of 16mg Apoquel and 20mg Zyrtec in order to manage her environmental allergies. Katie LOVES children and wiggles as soon as she sees them. Adult strangers also get full body wiggles. Katie is housebroken, crate trained, basic obedience trained, and walks well on a leash. Her favorite activities are snuggles, good walks, more snuggles, games of fetch, and more snuggles while you wind down with a TV show or four. She rides well in the car and will jump into the bathtub on command for her 1-2 times a week allergen wash-off bathings.

Before Katie came to the rescue, she was used to being an only dog. Her herding instinct appears when she is around dogs and she feels the need to vigilantly herd and watch them. She would do best as the only dog in her house so she can avoid her self-assigned herding task. Katie is so friendly, gentle, obedient and patient and would thrive in a home with kids (or grandkids) to look after.
