Felicia and her mother Ruby, came into rescue after their owners passed away. Having lived outside their entire life, they adapted well to city life! Ruby has been adopted, and Felicia is looking for her forever home as a wonderful adoring companion.

As weeks have passed, Felicia has developed more social skills and loves to greet. The most common comments are “Boy, she sure is friendly” or “Gosh, she is beautiful” Her black coat is silky and soft. Brushing relaxes her so much she points all four feet in the air and wags her tail. Playtime is making silly noises or running and chasing with her in the yard or house. Balls are of a slight interest but she really likes her soft bed and those filled hard bones. She loves to be with you in the car, and even tested out with five stars on a trip in the motor home.

Favorite activity of all is following and being with her foster family. One paw on your knee and the look of adoration are typical poses. She has been reactive with overly excitable dogs, but has gotten along very well with the foster family dog. Proper slow introduction to a new dog is a must for Felicia.

Patience and gentle touch in training will be answered with a companion that knows sit, down, roll over, come and wait and so much more.  Her newest fun trick is to retrieve kibble from a plastic kiddie tunnel. She even tunnels through her foster mom’s legs with a treat reward. A home without small children and a family that understands that everything is new and could be scary so she can be guided with an experienced and loving dog owner. She is just waiting for your call to be your sidekick!

Felicia is being fostered in the Kansas City area.
