Animal Success Stories

Success Stories

We are very pleased to share the story of our dog’s forever home and to know that we helped guide these dogs into a bright future. Each and every creature deserves to be appreciated and loved. That is what rescue work is all about.

We LOVE photos of how our Mo-Kan Alumni are doing!  Please send us photos and a short update on how you are all doing!
Please include when adopted and if they were listed under a former name.

Ernie

Ernie (Adopted 1/2022)

Here’s Ernie giving his new sister Sadie a face massage. So happy Ernie found his Furever home! The family now includes a 7 month old pittiex Sadie, Ernie and cats Demon and Yoda. Their family is complete!

Bert

Bert (Adopted 1/2022)

Bert is so delighted to be the newest member of a wonderful family. Even his big sister Mattie thinks he’s kinda sweet.

Charlie (2020)

Charlie (adopted 1/2022)
We are so excited to say that Charlie has found his forever home! He’s waited a very long time for his perfect person and home, but he tells us the wait was worth it. We are so happy about his new family. He has his momma, whom he loved at first sight, and his very own cat.
Congrats, Charlie, happy tails!

Lydia

Lydia (Adopted 12/2021)

Little Miss Lydia rang in her new year the best way ever...ADOPTED!

Lydia moved to her forever home in South Dakota where she and her mom will embark on all sorts of adventure together, including flying disc. You deserve the happy life ahead of you, Lydi. What a perfect match!

Kelse

Kelse (adopted 10/2021)

From Brian and Richard:

"We have had Kelse now for a few months.  She has adapted beautifully to living in a house rather than a pen outside.  She mastered the dog door after a couple of days with Gus to show her it’s operation.  She is a very affectionate girl and adores Brian (pictured).

Today, Christmas Day, she went to the Leawood dog park for the first time with Brian and I.  She loved it and ran all over.  Since she does some daycare she is well socialized.  And she will come to Brian if he calls her name.  I’m afraid Gus still ignores us if he is at the dog park.  So, another Mo-Kan success story."
