Fostering dogs and being involved in animal rehoming has been such a rewarding experience. Hank is a perfect example of the resilience and determination of the border collie. Hank had been moved twice in his 13 months of life. At first he lived in a home setting and then moved to a farm where he lived outside only on a chain. He quickly adapted to his new life in a foster home that allowed him space to run and the warmth and comfort of living inside. Hank currently resides w 2 other border collies, 2 aussies and 2 adult humans. He is house trained if taken out regularly and sleeps through most nights . He is moderately high energy and loves to run with the other border collies in the family. He has some pretty clever twists and turns and can outmaneuver them most of the time. He is starting to show a big interest in toys, all types and especially likes to sneak off with a toy that may not belong to him. Hank is very alert and responsive to commands. He is easy to work with and has been mastering recall. He takes at least 2 walks daily for leash training. Hank loves to ride with the gang to the dog park where he has made countless friends and no enemies! He loves large and small dogs , especially the ones who will chase with him. He would really like a home with other dogs he can play with. Hank has met our neighbor kids and thinks they are pretty swell. What’s not to love when you have little humans who run and roll and throw sticks for you? Hank is being fostered in the Kansas City area.
