Hi, I’m Milo, a purebred Blue Merle! I spent my first 6 years of my life with a family of my own. When I started having seizures, I found myself alone in a dark basement in a kennel most of the time. It was lonely and scary!

A very nice person was able to get me to rescue, and into a foster family! Wow my life has changed for the better and I am learning how to be a dog again! My foster mom is so nice and kind to me, I am slowly learning how to trust humans again.

I love my foster brother and sister siblings, it is fun being a dog in a pack where I can run and play! I am ok with cats, as long as they are nice to me. I will give a bossy cat a little warning snap if need be.

I am receiving medication for my seizures that I take twice a day, I am feeling so much better!! This has helped so much, I have only had one seizure as they have adjusted my medication. Sometimes the medicine makes me feel a little nervous or anxious, but it is getting better. I just love my nice foster mom, she is showing me how to just be a dog again. I am slowly learning to trust humans, so she is allowing introductions to new people very slowly so as not to add stress.

I am crate trained, I love my kennel, it is safe, and keeps me from being too anxious and chewing things I shouldn’t. Mom lets me out when she gets home from work so we can go outside and play ball. I LOVE the ball!!! I will fetch it as far and as many times she can throw it. Mom says I could to stand to lose a little weight, but with my new favorite pastime, (THE BALL) I will be slim in no time! I would love for my new home to have a big fenced yard so we can play often! I tend to get very excited playing with my ball and can snatch the ball out of little hands of small children.  I really like all toys, frisbees, and treat filled Kongs or Lickey mats!

I love walks, am great on a loose leash and walk right by your side. I think I would even like hiking or other adventures we could do together!

I am so lucky to be working with a very kind, compassionate trainer that is helping me how to be a dog, trust, and just have fun. I am slowly learning that people can be gentle, kind and loving. I don’t really like to cuddle, I’m just not that comfortable  with that just yet.

I am ready to find a home of my own as a solo dog, or would be happy to have a sibling or two. Could that be you? If interested, fill out an application to meet me, I'll be waiting!!

Love and kisses,
Milo

Milo is being fostered in the Saint Roberts, MO area.
