 Milo (Adopted 09/2022) Milo came to the rescue only knowing a metal kennel and potty time the last 3 years of his life when he was diagnosed with canine epilepsy. He spent so much time in a kennel that he developed massive pressure sores on his elbows which is the skin telling itself to form a callus to protect the bone. Milo was terrified on his first night in his foster home. He just wanted to lay in his kennel and didn’t want to be touched. As each day went on, building trust was the number one thing that mattered, so his foster mom reached out to a good friend and dog trainer who helped him gain trust again. After lots of Kong’s, lick mats, yummy treats and reassurance he was finally able to feel like a dog again. Milo had many seizures when he first came into rescue but thanks to our wonderful veterinarian, his seizures have been minimized with a combination of medications. Milo was in foster care for almost 10 months waiting for the perfect home that would fit his medical needs. Thankfully, the wait was worth it, he is going to live the life of luxury in his new home with Deanna. He gets to look forward to lots of playtime with his favorite chuck-it toys, road trips, and all the love he could ever need from his one perfect person.
