Success Stories

We are very pleased to share the story of our dog’s forever home and to know that we helped guide these dogs into a bright future. Each and every creature deserves to be appreciated and loved. That is what rescue work is all about.

We LOVE photos of how our Mo-Kan Alumni are doing!  Please send us photos and a short update on how you are all doing!
Please include when adopted and if they were listed under a former name.

Lark

Lark (Adopted 7/2021)

Little Lark has been adopted!  She greeted her new family with love and enthusiasm, not to mention wiggles and kisses.  The family had recently lost their boxer of 12 years, leaving a hole in the home.

They initially found Lark on Pet Finder.  They all agreed that she was the pup they wanted to adopt.  The more we talked, and the more pictures I sent, the more convinced they were that Lark was for them.  They were right!  Congratulations Lark and your new family!

(There was some discussion about who would be the first to have her sleep with them!)

Update 9/2021 from Lark's family:

"Oh my goodness!!...she is the most perfect puppy...so. much to share...she loves the water, she loves her boys so much, she cries outside their bedroom doors when they go to school...she loves car rides and goes to every drop off and pick up, she loves all humans big and small! And just like a toddler she puts EVERYTHING in her mouth(we're working on that) and she thinks cicada’s on the sidewalk during her walks are treats left for her. We absolutely love her....she has healed our broken hearts"

Brooke

Brooke (adopted 8/2021)

Brooke went to her forever home! Her new family had been searching for a dog for over a year. As soon as I saw their application, I knew it was a match made in Heaven. Brooke now has a new mom, dad, and 2 year old sister to grow up with! She is off on the adventure of a lifetime.

Stitch

Stitch (adopted 8/2021)

This sweet puppy came to MO-KAN at around 6 weeks of age after being dumped with his brother in a gas station parking lot. He was pitiful and shy, but slowly came out of his shell with his foster family. He became playful, silly, and was always extraordinarily curious, and he learned what it was like to be dearly loved. Eventually, the perfect family came along, and he is already living life to the fullest with his two new human sisters and dog brother. Congratulations to this wonderful family. Stitch has officially been adopted!

King

King (adopted 8/2021)

King has found his forever home!  Here is what his new mom has to say...

King is doing absolutely amazing! I could not have picked a better dog for me than him. He has adapted super well to me, my family, friends, and boyfriend, and loves us all. I've not had a single problem or complaint! He is so smart and I'm excited to see if I can teach him some tricks. To say the least, we're over the moon about him! He's getting lots of lovin and living his best life!

His foster mom was amazing, along with all of Mo-Kan, during this process and I cannot express how thankful I am for you all and your rescue organization.

Buddy (2021)

Buddy (renamed Marco Pogo) (adopted 8/2021) has found his new forever home! Bittersweet moment for his first time foster mom, but she has a feeling he is going to be very spoiled and very loved by his new family.  Marco Pogo definitely looks happy!
